- 1/4 cup granulated sugar, blended until very fine (or use superfine sugar)
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 8 limes, depending on size)
- 14-16 fresh mint leaves
- 4 cups ginger ale, chilled
- Lime wedges or slices for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a pitcher, whisk together the sugar, lime juice and mint leaves until the sugar dissolves. Refrigerate until ready to serve (up to 4 hours, the mint flavor will get stronger as it sits).
- To serve, strain out the mint leaves and add the ginger ale and stir. Add ice cubes to glasses and pour in the limeade. Garnish with lime slices or wedges.
NOTES
Sugar: feel free to add more sugar to taste if you like drinks a bit sweeter. Speaking of sugar, blending the sugar until really fine will help it dissolve more easily in the juice.
For Extra Icy Oomph: try chilling your glasses in the freezer before pulling them out to serve the limeade.
