Kunafa with cheese


Kunafa - 500 gms
Ghee - 1 cup
Ricotta cheese - 500 gms
Mozarella cheese - 200 gms
Fresh cream - 3 tbsp
Sugar - 3 tbsp
Orange blosson water - 1 tsp
Rose water - 1 tsp
Butter - 1 tsp
Red colour - little
Sugar syrup - 1-1/2 cups
Pista - 4 tbsp, roughly powdered.
Method

Put kunafa in a blender and blend it and put it in a bowl. Add ghee to it and rub it well, so that each strand of kunafa is covered with ghee. 





 Now mix ricotta cheese, mozarella cheese, sugar, orange blossom water, rose water and fresh cream. PLEASE BUY UNSALTED RICOTTA AND MOZARELLA CHEESE. IF YOU GET SALTED CHEESE, THEN PUT THE CHEESE IN A BOWLFUL OF WATER AND KEEP THE BOWL INSIDE THE FRIDGE OVERNIGHT. BY DOING SO, THE SALTY TASTE WILL VANISH. 






Take a baking tray and spread butter mixed with red food colour. Divide the kunafa into two equal sections. Spread one section of kunafa into the baking tray and press it to form a base. Now spread the cheese mixture onto it as a second layer.




And top the cheese layer again with the remaining kunafa and press it gently.




Now in a pre heated oven, bake it for 30 mins at 200 C. 




Take it out, and let it cool for 5 minutes. Now invert the baking tray on a bigger tray and your kunafa with cream is ready. 




Pour over the sugar syrup and cut it into squares and decorate it with pista powder and enjoy
