Ingredients:
For the sugar syrup:
Sugar-2cup
Water-2cup
Saffron-few
Lemon juice-1bsp
Heat all these in a pan and boil for about 15 minutes or until it reaches the syrup consistency.
Allow it in to cool completely.
For the batter:
All purpose flour / maida-3cup
Milk powder-3tbsp
Corn flour-2tbsp
Egg-1(optional)
Yeast-1 ½ tbsp
Salt-to taste
Warm water-1 ½ cup
Oil-to fry
Preparation:
Mix yeast and salt with the warm water.
In bowl mix flour, milk powder, corn flour and egg.
Add water and mix well.
The dough should be sticky consistency.
Cover it and leave in a warm place for 4 hours.
Dip a tablespoon in water, picking up a small portion of batter and drop them in to the hot oil.
(Or put the dough in a piping bag and drop out balls with it).
Deep fry it until brown in color and drop it in to cold syrup suddenly.
